Loaner Equipment

The School of Public Health has audio and video gear that SPH staff and faculty can borrow for school communications projects.

Availability of all gear is subject to school needs as judged by the Office of Communications and Events staff. Loan periods are normally one week. Equipment can be picked up on the 9th floor of 121 S. Main St.

The Blue Yeti microphone is used for podcasting, interviews, voice overs and instruments. It can be used for audio and video recording with a laptop or desktop computer, an Android phone or iPhone or DSLR.

 Kit includes:

  • Blue Yeti Microphone
  • Metal screen pop filter
  • USB-A cable
  • Apple camera adapter (for connecting to iPhones)
  • USB-C adapter (for laptops and Android phones)
  • 1/8" audio cable (for DSLR's)
  • 1/8" to 1/4" adapter (for audio equipment)

Mount the pop screen to the rear of the mic stand; it helps reduce plosives (pops)

The Canon EOS T7i is a DSLR for high quality photos and HD video (1920 x 1080). It has a standard 1/8" audio jack (ie, it will work with Blue Yeti and other mics); it does not have a headphone jack.

Canon T7i kit includes:

  • Canon EF-S 55-250mm zoom lens
  • 1 battery

  • RØDE Gear hotshoe-mounted shotgun mic

SD cards will be formatted and wiped clean upon equipment check-in, so please transfer and save all media files before returning gear.

The MonoBright outputs the equivalent power of a 750W tungsten fixture while consuming only 100W of current. The color is variable from 3200 to 5600K so no filters are required, whether shooting in daylight or tungsten color temperature environments. Dimming range of 10-100%.
